This policy explains what personal information Torce Network collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
This website is run by Torce Network Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is at Cumberland House, 80 Scrubs Lane, London NW10 6RF. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy by emailing contact@torcenetworkltd.com or writing to us at Torce Network Ltd, Cumberland House, 80 Scrubs Lane, London NW10 6RF.
What we collect
When you send us a message
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message. You can also add your phone number, your company or website, the services you are interested in and a rough monthly budget. We only collect what you choose to give us.
When you visit the website
Like most websites, our hosting server keeps short-term technical logs. These include your IP address, your browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. We use them to keep the website secure and working.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not load fonts or scripts from other companies. Our cookie policy has the details.
Why we use your information
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your message and send you a proposal you asked for | Steps you asked us to take before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| Deliver our services if you become a client | Performance of a contract |
| Keep business and accounting records | Legal obligation |
| Keep the website secure and stop spam | Our legitimate interest in running a safe website |
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run our business, such as our website host and our email provider, and only so they can provide that service. They must keep it secure and use it only on our instructions. We may also share information when the law requires us to.
If one of these providers stores information outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by safeguards the UK recognises, such as an adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then for up to six years to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Server logs: normally a few weeks, unless we need them to look into a security problem.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- ask us to send your information to you or to another organisation in a common format
To use any of these rights, contact us by emailing contact@torcenetworkltd.com or writing to us at Torce Network Ltd, Cumberland House, 80 Scrubs Lane, London NW10 6RF. We will reply within one month, and in most cases there is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
